Terms and Conditions
By using this website or attending our classes, you’re agreeing to the below terms:
Our Role in Your Journey
The Midwife Edit exists to educate, support and empower you through pregnancy, birth and early parenthood.
Everything we provide is general education only - we cannot provide any medical advice.
This means:
It’s not medical advice
It doesn’t replace your doctor, midwife or healthcare provider
It isn’t tailored to your individual medical needs
We always encourage you to speak with your own care provider about your personal situation.
No Clinical Care Relationship
Attending a class or engaging with our content does not create a healthcare provider–patient relationship.
Bookings & Payments
Your place is onlysecured once payment is made
All prices are in AUD and exclusive of GST
We may update pricing from time to time
Cancellations & Changes
We understand that life happens, and we’ll always do our best to be fair while also protecting the time and energy that goes into running each class.
We have a 14 day cancellation policy - If you can no longer attend your class, please let us know as soon as possible. Changes made more than 14 days prior to your class may be eligible for a transfer to another date or a partial refund.
Cancellations made within 14 days of the class are non-refundable -this is because your place has been reserved and this may mean another family has missed the opportunity to attend, as well as covering the costs involved in running each session
We understand that unexpected and deeply personal circumstances can arise. If you believe you may be eligible for a refund due to extenuating circumstances please email us at hello@themidwifeedit.com.au to discuss your situation confidentially. We will always approach these situations with compassion and review requests on a case-by-case basis.
Transfers within this 14-day period may be offered at our discretion
If we need to cancel or reschedule a class, you’ll always be offered a full refund or alternative date.
Your Responsibility
We’re here to guide and educate — but your health decisions are always your own.
By attending, you acknowledge that:
You’ll seek medical advice when needed
You won’t rely solely on this information for medical decisions
You’re participating voluntarily
You will consult a healthcare professional for all medical needs or concerns
Understanding Risk
Pregnancy, birth and postpartum are complex and individual experiences.
While education can support you, it cannot remove all risks.
By engaging with our services, you acknowledge this and take responsibility for how you use the information provided.
While we aim to empower you with knowledge and confidence, we cannot guarantee any particular birth outcomes. Pregnancy, birth and postpartum experiences vary greatly, and outcomes are influenced by many factors beyond our control.
Photography & Sharing
We may take photos or videos during sessions to share our work and community.
If you’d prefer not to be included in any content, just let us know before we start the class.
